I want to start giving my end-of-week post to other authors and bloggers whose work is worth noting. There are so many excellent articles out there, so many good poems and stories that I want to use my online space, once a week, to send all of you to read something you might otherwise miss.
Let this redirect you, like an open door to a view that’s worth seeing. The selected post may be old, but it’s new to me, and it’s beauty still rings true.
This week’s spotlight is “The Wisdom of Penguins,” a lovely, short, inspirational poem by Yusra Gulab Jamman. Enjoy!

This is a really good idea… I may have to steal it, ha-ha.
Also, uh, I’ve been enjoying your blog for a few months now. I haven’t had anything to add to your posts, so I haven’t commented, but it’s good stuff.

Oh my! This was so totally unexpected and such a pleasant surprise! I had no idea about this post (WP didn’t notify me or anything) and I was just randomly scrolling down my WordPress feed when I saw this. Thank you so much for the share! It really means a lot to me that you enjoyed the poem. 🙂 I penned it solely for the purpose of spreading a little bit of love and jolliness in the world, and nothing makes me happier than knowing I might have accomplished that… Much appreciated! 🙂
Nice to “meet you”, by the way, Andrea – I look forward to reading lots more of your work, too! 🙂

Sorry, next time, I promise I will give the author fair warning…by at least noting it in the comments of the original post. 🙂
I’m happy we met, too, and look forward to reading more. You have a rare and beautiful poetic voice–you say what needs to be said in a clear, eloquent way, without a lot of forced artistry. Thank you for sharing your gift!
